Questions?

Every message is read and answered by someone who works on the product directly — not a ticket queue, not a script. You get an answer from a person who knows how the thing is built.

This page covers this website and the waitlist. Nothing has been released yet, so there is nothing to troubleshoot; what follows are the questions people actually ask at this stage.

The waitlist

How do I join?

Enter your email address in the form on the home page and tick the consent box. You will then get one email with a confirmation link. Click it — until you do, you are not on the list. That is deliberate: it makes it impossible for anyone to add an address that is not theirs.

I joined but never got the confirmation email.

Check your spam or junk folder first, and search for "Solfa". If it is not there after ten minutes, the most likely cause is a typo in the address — just submit the form again with the correct one, a duplicate does no harm. If it still does not arrive, write to support@solfalabs.com from the address you are trying to use and we will look into it.

How do I get off the list?

One click on the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any message we have sent you. It takes effect immediately, there is no confirmation step, and we will not email you to ask why. You can also write to privacy@solfalabs.com and we will remove you.

How often will you email me?

Rarely. You will hear from us when there is something real to say — an invitation to the beta, a release date, a significant change of plan. We will not send you anything unrelated, and we will not pass your address to anyone.

What do you do with my address?

Put it on a mailing list and email you about this product. That is all. It is never sold, rented, traded or shared. The Privacy Policy sets out every detail — every field, every recipient, every retention period — in a way you can check.

Does joining the waitlist create an account?

No. There is no account, no password, nothing to sign into, and nothing gets installed. It is a mailing list.

Does being on the list guarantee me a place in the beta?

It is how you get invited, but it is not a guarantee. If beta places are limited we will have to choose, and we will say how we chose rather than staying quiet about it.

Someone put my address on your list without asking.

They cannot have — the confirmation step means an address is only added by someone with access to that inbox. If you received a confirmation email you did not ask for, ignore it; the unconfirmed address is deleted automatically after 30 days and you will not hear from us again. If you would like it removed immediately, write to privacy@solfalabs.com.

Timing and availability

When will it be available?

A public beta through TestFlight is planned for December 2026, with release in early 2027.

Both are estimates, and it would be dishonest to present them as anything firmer — release dates in software move. If ours do, the people on the waitlist will hear it from us directly rather than noticing on their own.

Which devices will it need?

iPhone, iPad and Mac. Exact minimum system versions will be confirmed closer to release, once we know which ones we can properly support rather than merely run on.

What will it cost?

Not decided yet, and we would rather say that than invent a number now and change it later. Being on the waitlist commits you to nothing and does not oblige you to buy anything.

Will there be a version for Android, Windows or the web?

Not at launch. The first release is for Apple platforms only.

Can I see a demo, or try it early?

The beta is the first time anyone outside the company will use it, and the waitlist is how you get in.

Can I suggest something?

Please do — support@solfalabs.com. It genuinely gets read. Before you send anything substantial, note §10 of the Terms of Use, which sets out what happens to ideas people send us; the short version is that we may build them without owing you anything, and you should not send us anything confidential.

Are you hiring, or looking for investment?

Not at the moment. If that changes it will be announced here first.

This website

Something on the site is broken.

Tell us at support@solfalabs.com. Mentioning your browser and device helps, and a screenshot helps more. Layout faults on unusual screen sizes are the ones most likely to have escaped us, so those reports are especially welcome.

The waitlist form is not working.

Write to support@solfalabs.com with your address and we will add you manually, then find out what went wrong. Please tell us what the page showed you — the exact wording matters, because different messages mean different faults.

Do you use cookies or track me?

No. No cookies of any kind, no analytics, no tracking pixels, no advertising scripts, no third-party fonts or embeds. That is why you have not seen a cookie banner: there is nothing to consent to. §6 of the Privacy Policy lists this in full.

Is the site accessible?

We have built it to be: real headings and landmarks, keyboard-navigable, sufficient contrast, and animations that stop when your system asks for reduced motion. If something is hard to use with an assistive technology, please tell us. Accessibility faults are treated as faults, not as feature requests, and they go to the front of the queue.

Can I link to you, or write about you?

Yes, freely, without asking. §4 of the Terms of Use covers what you may do with the material here.

I think I found a security vulnerability.

Please write to privacy@solfalabs.com before testing anything intrusive. We reply within 72 hours, we will not threaten you for a good-faith report, and we will credit you if you would like credit. §5.1 of the Terms of Use sets out what we ask in return.

Your information

What do you know about me?

If you have joined the waitlist: your email address, when you joined, that you consented, and whether you confirmed. If you have emailed us: that message. Nothing else. There is no profile, no analytics record and no tracking history, because none of those things exist here.

How do I get a copy, or have it deleted?

Email privacy@solfalabs.com from the address in question and say what you want. It is free, needs no form, and we answer within 30 days. §13 of the Privacy Policy is the full procedure.

I am not in South Africa. Do I still have rights?

Yes. We honour access, a copy, correction, deletion, objection and withdrawal of consent for anyone who asks, wherever they live. §16 of the Privacy Policy explains our position, including what we have chosen not to claim.

Who can complain about you, and to whom?

Anyone, to the Information Regulator of South Africa. Contact details are in §18 of the Privacy Policy. You do not have to come to us first, although we would like the chance to fix it.

We are in South Africa, on SAST (UTC+2), and answer messages Monday to Friday. A message sent on a Saturday will be read on Monday.

If you have written and heard nothing within the times above, please write again rather than assuming you are being ignored — mail does get filtered, in both directions, and we would rather have your message twice than not at all.
